The Journal made the office stoop today, we must finally be out of the soup in Missoula.
I was reading sections from Tzu's The Art of War last night prior to shutting down and came back across a great quote from Stonewall Jackson, "The hardships of forced marches are often more painful than the dangers of battle." Jackson was born in Clarksberg, Virginia (now W.Va.)*.
Jackson's quote got my attention. I think that quote will get the attention of any individual who enjoys endurance events. Every once in a while I return to Tzu's work to get my bearings realigned.
*[aside: My family somehow survived the strife of being annexed to the north during the period, I believe seeing family members on both sides of the conflict as the north conscripted individuals in Malden, near Charleston (W.Va.) today. I need to do a little more research on the matter.]

ski report on the bowl? Fly into Missoula tomorrow, skiing either Sat or Sun (both if I'm lucky). You headed up?
Tom
Hey Tom,
Nah klar!
RE: Report, We were up Sunday. Hope you brought your rock skis. I can't get a report on their new home page half the time, but someone is probably working on it!
We went down chicken chute Sunday after far east, and my back is still in recovery mode. Bold kids! Mashed potatos and rocks. It is snowing on the valley floor at the moment.
See you up there!
