This time of year I always make it a point to ride up the Rattlesnake corridor to catch the waterfalls as they pour down the surrounding mountains. Today did not disappoint. Things are going off a bit later than usual this year and it rained for most of the ride. It was the little man's first trip to the top. We decided not to hike into the upper lakes. The rocks along the route were slick. There is usually a bear or two near my favorite fly fishing haunt or a goat on the mountainside. Today, however, we saw no wildlife other than a brief glimpse at a whitetail scampering off into the surrounding hills after getting a drink in the road. The corridor remains a bumpy journey and I was glad to be riding my old Sugar. One other benefit of the present conditions is that everything is green and there is not a fire fighting crew yet camped near the upper bridges. Beautiful day.

Glad to see you are riding again...o/o
Hi Bill!
Thanks. Now, if I can just quit slashing tires on the rocks...
Very nice. My friends Don & Andrea Stierle are living up that way (Larch above the old vineyard) and I'm looking forward to a hike up there. Another friend & avid outdoor athlete, Matt Hamon, is moving to the Zoo to teach photography at the U: I'll be sure and send your blog his way.
Enjoy the hike ER. We are lucky to have the Rattlesnake.
