My friend Max probably would have never forgiven me if I had not gotten his favorite rod fixed. I recall mentioning to Mike in a past comment info on the bamboo rod. I'll see if I can locate it.
I hope your hunting season is going well. I had a very brief window last night while skinning up a ridge for a nice whitetail but it was not to be. Gobble gobble.
Hey Garland I wish I'd had the same experience with Winston when I stopped at their shop two years ago down south; I have a 5 piece 4wt with a broken tip. They asked for the receipt, and I explained that I bought it 7 years ago, and don't save them that long. They quoted me a 160$ price to replace the tip. I declined. Ah well. Starting to enjoy the desert here. Mike

Bummer. I sent a letter to the home shop and the original card which probably helped.
ER, The dope on "Brown" was in the comments under the "Learning to Hunt" post. Another great med action rod.
